The show narrates the challenges faced by the fam after experiencing such a life-altering change — going from a family of five to a clan of eleven. As a result, its first season instantly resonated with viewers, causing the network to bring the show back for a second and then a third season.

For the last two months, the family hasn’t been filming. They’ve been taking some downtime to reconsider everything and now they’re back. The family had started construction on their home before everything hit and so that drew out the process, making it longer than originally planned. The family was just so happy that some things were done that they were moving back in before everything was finished.

Opening the front door for their kids, any confusion at the surprise turns to joy as they spy the miniature horses, pigs and rabbits waiting for them in the yard. In a video they posted to theirYouTube channel in July 2021, Eric and Courtney Waldrop answeredtheir fans' questions. The couple explained that TLC first approached them about doing the series when Courtney was still pregnant with the sextuplets, and they weren't sure how it would pan out. "We made the decision that, 'Okay, we'll do it, we'll give it a shot, and if it ever becomes something that's hard on our family, that's hard on our kids, then we'll stop,'" Courtney explained. After years of renovations, the Waldrops finally move into their new home.

Sweet Home Sextuplets Supertease: The Waldrops Defend Putting Kids in Harnesses at the Park
The big boys are treated to a fun getaway, leaving Ramona and Popsie alone with all six babies. The family receives shocking news about their new mobile home. Previously, Eric and Courtney Waldrop had to turn to fertility treatment after their attempts to have a fourth baby had tragically failed due to Courtney suffering from some issues with blood clotting. The couple maintains that after three children, they were just trying for a fourth, but Courtney happened to end up with eight fetuses in the first ultrasound. While two failed before the next sonogram, she successfully delivered the other six.
School is starting for the boys, and fears of COVID-19 lead Courtney and Eric to consider homeschooling. They also decide to send the sextuplets to a speech pathologist. Courtney and the babies are running late to Kayleigh's wedding because of a dead car battery. The Waldrop family moves 11 people into a 1,500 square foot mobile home during construction -- right before having to cook a Thanksgiving feast for 20 people.

The older kids were all playing with their parents one day when their parents asked them if they would be okay with homeschooling. They were just feeling out what the kids want and the kids said they were fine with homeschooling. They know about Covid-19 and they were just as worried as their parents. Courtney even tried asking her friends about their plans and her friends don’t know what they’ll do. The Waldrops must evacuate the mobile home when a tornado touches down nearby.
And so Courtney’s friends told her she should get them because that will help teach the kids how to read. Additionally, there are Eric and Courtney’s long-term financial worries, as Courtney considers the prospect of returning to her old job as a teacher. “A first for the network, we began this journey with Courtney and Eric even before the sextuplets arrived, when they already had three boys in their brood. At the beginning of the series, we meet Courtney already in the 25th week of her pregnancy -– which is an advanced stage because multiples are generally born within the 30-week gestation period. Due to the sensitive nature of such a rare pregnancy, the sextuplets were admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit right away.
The series continues as the Waldrops bring the sextuplets back home and they are reunited with their three elder siblings to form the soccer-team size family of eleven. At the same time, the place also had enough room to cut a cake and celebrate. After hearing this, the boys agreed to spend the day together with the sextuplets.
At the same time, moving into a mobile home has not been easy for them and she thought it might be a good solution to have all the celebrations together by inviting everyone at once. Because the pregnancy was so risky for both mother and babies, Courtney's doctors brought up the option of reducing the number of fetuses to increase the odds of a healthy birth. The Waldrops rejected that suggestion, trusting that they could handle whatever God had in store for them. Their faith was rewarded in December 2017 when Courtney safely delivered her six babies via caesarean section. Their names are as unique as the family itself, according to the Daily Mail. The three boys are Layke Bryars, Blu Wellington, and Tag Bricker, and their sisters are Rawlings McClaine, Rivers McCall, and Rayne McCoy.
Birth is, however, barely the tip of the iceberg, as all parents across the world would agree. The primary cast of ‘Sweet Home Sextuplets’ comprises the members of the Waldrop clan. We have the husband-wife duo, Eric and Courtney Waldrop, and their nine children — Blu, Layke, Tag, Rawlings, Rayne, Rivers, Saylor, Wales, and Bridge. Their three older boys and sextuplet babies reside on a sheep farm in small-town Alabama. Parents Courtney and Eric received the surprise of a lifetime when they welcomed six infants when trying for their fourth kid. What happened was in fall 2020, TLC asked Eric and Courtney if they were up for a Season 4.
Blu is like having six kids all by himself and he used his bath time to drench his mother’s makeup bag. Courtney also had to take her oldest son Saylor to the dentist. He was getting braces and she had a hard time believing he was old enough to have all his adult teeth. She was told by the dentist that she needed them and she’s been pushing it off because she’s had so much else on her plate. ‘Sweet Home Sextuplets’ chronicles the unique and challenging journey of this family as the six babies are born, admitted to NICU and are reunited with a family of eleven.
With all of them inviting their friends and some of the parents coming in, there were close to 100 people at the celebration. Her friends did think it was a great idea to hire a speech pathologist. One of Courtney’s closest friends grew up with a speech impediment and she said how horrible was growing up that only her mother understood her. They made fun of her and so she would hide behind her mother’s leg not wanting to speak in front of anyone. This friend was therefore a big supporter of a speech pathologist. If the children can receive help now before it gets worse, that would be amazing and so Courtney made an appointment.
And the parents came to the decision that they would be sending their kids back to school. TLC is no stranger to reality television shows that chronicle particular families which the network believes will be of interest to the viewers. This might be because of their lifestyle choices or their sexuality, or as in this case, families who have to raise too many children.

She has a condition that wearing her teeth down and braces will help fix it. Courtney used the chance Saylor was seeing the dentist to have a consultation as well. The dentist told her it’s better to get the braces now.
